- IS THERE A CONTRACT?
There is a Client Service Agreement. However, there is no specified time commitment. You are free to cancel services at any time with a 24hr. written notice.
- WHAT IF BOTH MOM AND DAD NEED ASSISTANCE - DOES IT COST TWICE AS MUCH?
Not at all. If couples are living in the same home at the same time, the hourly rate for couples is only $1.50 more per hour than the standard hourly rate for 1 person.
- WHO ARE THE CAREGIVERS?
HomeKeepers Healthcare employs professionally screened Registered Nurses (RN's) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA's). Our RN's and CNA's have been certified by the state of Georgia. Our Caregivers have been pre-qualified to meet or exceed all State of Georgia rules and regulations for providing in-home care. All have been subjected to a complete and thorough background check including personal, employment, and criminal background checks.
- ARE ALL YOUR CAREGIVERS INSURED AND BONDED?
Yes, all our caregivers are covered by liability insurance, worker’s compensation insurance, and are bonded for theft.
- DO I PARTICIPATE IN THE SELECTION OF MY CAREGIVER?
Based on your individual assessment and Care Plan, HomeKeepers Healthcare will match the best candidates to your needs. You will then have the opportunity to interview any caregivers we refer to you, and let you select the caregiver of your choice.
- WILL THE SAME CAREGIVER COME EACH DAY?
Our goal is to establish a long-term relationship between the client and our caregiver, and to keep the same caregiver with a client as long as the client is satisfied. With prolonged service periods (shifts required), several caregivers may be utilized on a rotating basis to prevent caregiver fatigue and to insure the highest level of client care.
- WHAT HAPPENS IF THE ASSIGNED CAREGIVER IS NOT A SUITABLE MATCH FOR OUR FAMILY?
HomeKeepers Healthcare pledges to work closely with you to find the best possible match. However, should your assigned caregiver fail to meet your expectations, we’ll work with you in the selection process to assign another.
- WHAT HAPPENS IF OUR CAREGIVER IS UNABLE TO REPORT TO WORK?
We will assign a temporary replacement until such time that your assigned caregiver is able to return.
- ARE YOUR CAREGIVERS EMPLOYEES OR INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS?
Our staff of caregivers are employees of HomeKeepers Healthcare. We do not employ or use independent contractors.
- DOES INSURANCE COVER THE COST OF NON-MEDICAL HOME CARE?
Some private insurance companies do offer non-medical home care insurance. You need to check with your provider. Medicaid and Medicare do not currently provide for non-medical home care services.
- HOW QUICKLY CAN SERVICE BEGIN?
Typically, services can be provided within a 48-hour period, and often the same day.
- HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Simply call HomeKeepers Healthcare and schedule a time that is convenient to complete the assessment and Care Plan. In-home service will be scheduled as your needs demand.
- WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
Our standard service rate is $17.00 per hour. Our 24-hour live-in rates average $9.42 per hour. These average rates apply to regular service areas in the metro Atlanta area.
- DO YOU PROVIDE SERVICES IN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES AND NURSING HOMES?
Yes, we can provide a caregiver. People sometimes discover that the level of service provided in an assisted living facility or nursing home is not adequate to maintain their desired quality of life.
- WHAT PAYMENT FORMS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept personal checks, money orders, VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, and DISCOVER CARD.
